I got a snowy welcome to Denver! And in true Denver fashion we arrived on 4/20… which was pretty interesting. It’s a day of celebration for a certain herbal industry and while I couldn’t really see anything out of the ordinary you can definitely smell something stirring.
My trip to the west coast was stirred up by an invitation to Napa Valley that landed on my birthday – the stars aligned and I couldn’t turn it down. Since I was going to head west, I figured I’d stop and see my friend in the Springs and then a colleague in Denver.
Finding a place to stay was the first task at hand. After poking around – I knew I found a winner! This newly renovated airbnb was perfect for us! Super new, perfectly-nested carriage house in walking distance to downtown and had super boujee radiant heat flooring.
Once we arrived I found out that it was owned by a real estate agent who was an absolute kindred spirit and ball of energy. She is known as the “Queen of Broadway” for the amount of real estate she sells in that district. More than that, I figured out she was a super savvy businesswoman that I wanted to feature on here! She has a youtube channel called Team Vivi that is all about “Denvernomics” and she’s basically able to coach you on all the things investment and financial wellness to make sure you’re making the right moves. Her Youtube channel is full of short weekly videos into all things Denver market and also hits on the larger macro economics.
Team Vivi consists of 13 team members including 5 agents and they are just seriously fun and so quick to help. They even dropped me off at the hip Union Station and gave me all the tips to get around. I grabbed this gimlet from Cooper’s Lounge happy hour which came highly suggested from like 10 of my friends – I knew I couldn’t miss this spot.
She also explained how the “weed tourism” industry is booming here, and between that and the investors in real estate I think everything is just booming! They also shared how involved they are in the community and they host First Friday Fundraisers to benefit some amazing local orgs – since I work in philanthropy and know how critical nonprofits are for underserved youth and generational change, I was just so impressed!
Check her out if you’re looking to visit Denver or even get in on the action!
